Appointment update, a little celebration & an owie :(

Seth's physical on Wednesday went okay, the doctor didn't do too much extensive but it was nice to have him have a little look over. Found out that as I suspected he is a tad bit overweight :( He is now 66lbs and almost 4 feet. The doctor suggested maybe putting him in soccer, that it may help and seeing if I can find less fat alternatives to the few foods he eats (if only it were that simple!).
He is a pretty active guy already but apparently not enough.

We also got a call and he now has an appointment with a Pediatrician March 11th. So we are getting a few things rolling at least. I chatted with the school therapist the other day too and she said that she will get her report done in time so we can take that with us as well.

We do have a little (well not so little to me) thing to celebrate! Seth can now write a version of his name on his own!!!

This is big for him and us, we have waited so so long for this to happen. His fine motor skills are very poor and he never seemed able to pay attention long enough to accomplish this but FINALLY! We are so proud! He will now even put his name on artwork too :) He is also able to type it out properly on the computer keyboard and recognize it in text. So slowly there is progress and makes me so excited to see. I know we will get there and the little steps will take him far some day!

The other day he had a little accident :(

He just recently has started to be less cautious and is starting to full out run now. Well this came at a cost unfortunately and he tripped and did a face plant on asphalt. My poor little guy! He is very clumsy and I am happy to see he is brave enough to run, but don't like that he can get hurt worse now too. But he is okay now and it just turned out to be a scrape and very little bruising :)
